Women's Health Care and Promotion of PrEP for HIV Prevention

Providers should have the discussion around HIV prevention with all sexually active female patients and should include preexposure prophylaxis (PrEP) as part of that discussion. Providers should also engage in shared decision-making with patients and review fertility desires and contraceptive needs. Lessons from family planning and HIV prevention should be shared with all providers to help patients make the most informed decisions possible.
