Knowledge/Attitudes of Nurses Caring for HIV+ Pregnant Women

OB/GYN nursing and auxiliary staff caring for HIV-positive pregnant women were administered a survey measuring knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) around care of this patient population.  This survey found that these care providers need to improve their KAP when it comes to HIV, especially in how it can influence quality of care for these women.  There are opportunities for improvement and further research is needed to determine the most effective education methods for this provider population.
