HIV Screening by OB-GYNs - What Influences It?

Researchers surveyed ACOG Fellows to determine rates of HIV testing among patient populations. Respondents reported almost universal levels of recommendation of HIV testing to pregnant women, however low levels of repeat third trimester recommendations. Practitioners were less influenced by local laws and regulations than practice type, location, and setting.
