Ethical Issues Around Pregnancy and HIV

Authors address the ethical concerns around HIV-testing and treatment in pregnant women through a case study discussion and a review of state laws for perinatal and newborn testing.  Clinicians should make sure they are aware of the laws and best practices in their jurisdiction in order to best prevent HIV transmission perinatally.
