ARV Exposure In Utero and Congenital Anomaly Risk

Researchers in the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study's Surveillance Monitoring of ART Toxicities (SMARTT) project found overall a low absolute risk of congenital anomalies resulting from in utero exposure to ARVs.  This shows an ongoing benefit of continuing to use ARVs for prevention of HIV transmission during pregnancy but certainly warrants further study.
