IDPH Memo: Repeat Third Trimester HIV Screening
On October 2, 2017, the Illinois Department of Public Health issued a memo regarding HB 2800 which was signed into law and amends the Perinatal HIV Prevention Act. HB2800 now mandates a repeat opt-out HIV test during the third trimester, ideally by the 36th week of pregnancy. Implementation of this Act is expected by January 1, 2018.
