The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is a key partner in the prevention of perinatal transmission of HIV in Illinois. IDPH provides the funding for the 24/7 Illinois Perinatal HIV Hotline, enhanced case management follow-up, and support to hospitals for rapid testing through the Perinatal Rapid Testing Implementation Initiative in Illinois. IDPH provides leadership and helps develop rules for the implementation of laws around perinatal prevention of HIV in Illinois.
