The Illinois Perinatal HIV Hotline is funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

It functions in collaboration with the Pediatric AIDS Chicago Prevention Initiative (PACPI) and the Perinatal Rapid Testing Implementation Initiative in Illinois (PRTII²) to provide a safety net of perinatal HIV prevention in Illinois.

The goal of the safety net is to identify pregnant women with HIV and provide support and linkage to medical care and social services aimed at reducing the risk of perinatal transmission of HIV.
