Serodiscordant Couples, ARVs and Safe Conception

For HIV-serodiscordant couples who want to conceive through intercourse, the use of antiretroviral therapy for the HIV-infected partner and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for the HIV-negative partner combined with careful supervision by a medical provider can be a useful tool for reducing the risk of HIV transmission during conception.
