HIV Prevention for Heterosexual Black Women
This article describes the development, evaluation and dissemination by the CDC of SisterLove, Inc.'s program Healthy Love. This program is designed to reduce HIV and sexually transmitted disease related risk behaviors among heterosexual black women in the south. After a successful evaluation of its efficacy, the CDC has packaged this program for distribution to service provider organizations nationwide to address this population that is proportionally more at risk for HIV acquisition.
