Effectiveness and Safety of Assisted Reproduction for Serodiscordant Couples

Researchers reviewed numerous study databases to deterimine the efficacy and safety of assisted reproduction (including intrauterine insemination and intracytoplasmic injection, both post-sperm washing) to achieve pregnancy amongst serodiscordant couples where the man was HIV-positive. No women or infants in the review contracted HIV post-procedure. ART was determined to be effective for prevention of HIV in both mother and infant.
